Well yesterday we had a storm! A full blown batter-down the hatches storm!
The Owl Sanctuary's Bar Boot Sale certainly became a haven for all the poor people out this Sunday who were out in some rather nasty weather- thunder, lighting, rain and hailstones came pouring out of the skies- seemingly out of nowhere!
Inside though, we were all wrapped up warm with cups of tea and pints on the go under warm fairylights. I love doing the Bar Boot Sale, it's not the busiest of fairs but it's a great chance to meet new makers and say hello to old friends. I saw Francis from Aforetime and Ella from Miss Ella Illustration, and we had a good chinwag about all the upcoming fairs we'll be going to.
I was also sitting next to a lovely lady who made felt taxidermy- her skulls were so unique and quirky, and all had their own personalities. There were some other cool indie zine makers and artists too, and a man who made mirrors out of old window panes- genuis!
I decided to spend my time there just networking and catching up on some much needed making. It was lovely to see everyone though.
If you live in Norwich then the Bar Boot Sale is on every lastSunday of the month, sometimes times Change at Christmas and new year, but for the rest of the year this is a lovely regular fair to come to. Very chilled out.
