Brrrr! After the windy weather of December, I'm finally glad we're starting to move towards Spring. Sure, the weather is still bitter but I'm hoping February and March will bring beautiful spring blossoms and a new lease of life to my wardrobe!
As always, I start planning my Spring collection around late October/ early November which seems mad, but is really just me being organised (at least, I like to think so.) I think the nostalgia of coming to the end of a year always makes one reflect on the past.
This year, some of my favourite memories have been going back to the quiet little seaside town of Cromer here I grew up. Me and my little brother would go to the beach nearly every day and go rock-pooling or have a swim. Going back this year and tasting that salty air again was lovely.
The one thing I love about Spring is that pastels are *always* on trend. Every year. We love to mimic the freshness and beautiful colours that spring brings. Last year I was donning bubblegum-pink hair (it was a wig, but I still adore it), maybe aquamarine this year?
With that in mind, I had a little look for some fashion and artwork that would help me establish the colours I wanted to use this season. I fell head over heals in love with Delpozo's Spring 2015 collection, with floaty fabrics, embellished elements in metallics... the models looked like mermaids!
So my latest collection has really been inspired by this collection and my love of the Great British coastline that we are so so lucky to have. So here are my mood boards for this season, keep an eye out for the collection hitting stores and online on Jan 29th at midnight!
